The Role

You will be responsible for the wellbeing of all residents within a state of the art Nursing facility:

  • A mixture of single, double and en-suite rooms dispersed over three floors and a separate annex area
  • All rooms equipped with a television and a nurse call point
  • Assisted shower and bathrooms
  • Lounges with plasma screen televisions
  • Formal dining room and conservatory serving freshly home-cooked meals
  • Visiting hair-dresser
  • Dedicated activities staff to organise hobbies, outings and events
  • Developing an activity room which would incorporate a specialist ‘Snoezelen’ sensory therapy area, proven to benefit people living with dementia
  • Patio garden

  • Take responsibility to ensure the well-being of the people living at the home.
  • Make sure the physical, emotional and social needs of all residents are met.

Required Qualifications & Experience

In addition to your valid NMC registration as a nurse and the right to work in the UK, you will need to be:

  • RGN, RMN or dual trained
  • Up to date with all areas of clinical expertise
  • Able to show support and direction to other care staff
  • Able to administer medication competently
  • Able to complete and update care plans
  • Able to deal with varying levels of dementia
  • Passionate about providing quality nursing care to the elderly
  • Exceptional communication skills in order to support the people living with us, family members and other health professionals and care staff
  • Exceptional organisational skills
